As you may have guessed, any modern Android or iPhone will work with Amazon Flex. However as an experienced driver I’ve got a few things to add. Lets dig into it.
Battery:
You will want a smart phone that charges quickly and holds it’s charge. While Flexing you will be using the camera and GPS a lot and you’ll likely have several apps going at once (Flex, Google Maps, Waze, Pandora, etc). This can quickly drain the power. That’s no good for you on the job. Make sure you’ve got a good battery.

Essential Accessories:
- Car Phone Mount – You’ll want some sort of phone mount in the car. Something that makes it easy to dock and remove the phone, because you’ll be doing it a lot. That time adds up. Sticky Velcro works well for this or a magnetic phone holder.
- USB Car Charger – If you’ve got an older car you probably don’t have a USB plug built in. Grab a USB car charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter plug.
- Power Bank – Power bank / external charger. You’ll want to have one for those emergency situations. Don’t want to end up with a car full of packages and a dead phone.
- Screen Protector – Drops happen on the job when you’re in a rush. Get a case or a screen protector.
- Stylus – When you have customers sign for packages it’s nice to have a stylus for them. Totally optional though, they can use their finger otherwise.
