It’s official, most drivers now have the Filter option on their Flex app. This has been a long awaited feature and it has many drivers excited. From the social media comments we’ve gathered that most drivers are pleased with and like the new Filter option while some seem confused by it. In this post we’ll do a brief tutorial on how to use and what to expect from this new feature.
No Word from Amazon
Surprisingly Amazon rolled out this update and never sent an email, video, or any sort of tutorial on how to use the filters. There was no warning and not even an app update. The new feature just seemed to appear at random on our app.
Apparently Amazon thinks that the feature was so well designed and implemented that it needed no introduction. While this may be true, some drivers seem confused by and don’t understand the need for a filter option. This is a pretty big change and we’re surprised to see there’s no official word from Amazon about it.
That said, we appreciate the update and it is well designed and implemented. Amazon Flex developers could have implemented this in a million different ways and we think they did a pretty great job.
How to Use:
First lets start with the why; If you have a set of or just one station that you prefer to work out of and don’t want to see other types of offers then you can use the Filter option to only see blocks from the Stations you prefer.
Now the how, lets get into it. First navigate to the Offers screen where the Filter option can be found.
Go ahead and click Filter at the top.
You’ll then see a screen like this. Check the stations that you do want to see offers for, and leave the others that you don’t want to see offers for unchecked. Then press See Results.
Then you’ll be taken back to the Offers screen with some new info at the top.
0 of 22 Offers is telling me that there’s 22 total offers available but 0 of them match the Stations I selected.
Next it tells me I have 2 stations selected with the (x) option to clear them.
Finally the “Show all other offers” option, where if clicked I’ll then see all the available offers.
Summary
The new filter feature is a good addition to Amazon Flex and we think most drivers agree. It’s simple to use and easy to understand. They did a good job implementing it and there’s no known bugs that we’re aware of. It’s nice to see Amazon taking driver feedback into consideration and implementing requested features.
Appreciate it, be safe and flex on!
