Amazon Flex – “Sorry, No Openings” Explained

What does it mean when the Amazon Flex app tells you “Sorry, there aren’t any delivery openings in your area at the moment” and what should you do about it?

This message means that your area has all the drivers that it needs at the moment and they’re not currently accepting new drivers. If you have this message on your app it’s safe to assume that you’re in a waiting list, and when your area needs more drivers there’s a chance that you could be one of them.

The waiting game

This message can last for months simply because your area doesn’t need more drivers. For me personally I had to wait about 4 months until I was finally able to start seeing and accepting offers.

What to do about it

Check your Flex app and check it often! When openings become available you want to be active on the Flex app so you can complete the on-boarding process. There’s likely many other drivers in the waiting list and the openings could fill up fast.

Patience

As mentioned it can and often does take months to receive an opening. Stay patient and keep checking the app on a daily basis. You can try emailing Flex support at: amazonflex-support@amazon.com but it’s likely they’ll give you an automated response.

Meanwhile it’s a good idea to check out the resources here and at /r/AmazonFlexDrivers so you know what to expect with Amazon Flex. Also check Facebook for local Flex driver groups.

Appreciate it. Be safe and flex on!
