I haven’t worked Amazon Flex in over two months now. It feels like forever ago. Lots of drivers I know have stopped doing Flex due to COVID 19. After a long period of inactivity I start to get anxious because I don’t want to lose my account. How long can I be inactive before Amazon deactivates my Flex account?
What the Terms of Service says:
d) If you have been inactive for more than 180 days, Amazon may deactivate your account. If your account is deactivated for inactivity, you may apply to re-enroll in the Program.

So we have at least 180 days to be lazy and stay at home without the worry of deactivation. That seems pretty fair.
What the community says:
Places like Reddit and Amazon Flex Facebook groups tell a different story. They’re saying that Amazon doesn’t enforce the 180 day inactivity rule. One driver claims to have gone a full two years without deactivation.
That’s a relief then. We have at minimum 180 days to be inactive, possibly much longer. It’s probably safe to listen to what the terms of service says. If you’re approaching the 180 day mark, grab your mask and head out there to work a block. All you need is one shift, then you’ve got another 180 days!
Appreciate ya, be safe and Flex on!
