Unwritten Amazon Flex Driver Agreement – Sort Your Packages Outside the Warehouse!

As Amazon Flex drivers it’s every man and women for themselves, survival of the fittest! May the fastest tapper prevail!

Just kidding..

That’s how it may seem sometimes but really Flex drivers look out for each other and are generally very helpful to one another. There’s one unwritten rule amongst the Amazon Flex Brotherhood of Drivers (catchy right?) that every new and perhaps clueless veteran needs to know:

Sort your packages outside the warehouse.

If you want to be meticulous and sort your packages in whatever wacky way you’ve come up with then do it on your own time. Don’t hold up the line by sorting inside the warehouse. Pack your car quickly while in the warehouse. Then once you get outside go ahead and stop and sort to your hearts content. By doing it this way you’ll be beloved by fellow drivers far and wide! Otherwise if you’re holding up the line, you’ll be forever banished from the village.

No Seriously

Really though don’t hold up the line if you can help it. If all drivers agree not to be messing around and wasting time in the warehouse the process will be smoother for all of us.

You’ve undoubtedly had to wait an excessive amount of time in a line of cars at the Amazon Flex warehouse:

It’s not all warehouse incompetence that causes this to happen. The drivers are as much to blame if not more for long lines of cars and wait times.

So remember; Pack quickly inside the warehouse and do the sorting outside.
