Skills Needed

In order to start working as a “Roadside Rescuer” you’re going to need to have the following skills.

  • Perform a Lockout

Can you break into a car? Well then you’re under arrest. No.. just kidding.

The hardest part about this gig is the lock-out. You need to know how to unlock a car without damaging it. Something like this:

If you already know how to do this then you’re well on your way. If not, there’s plenty of tutorials online.

  • Change tires
  • Jump car battery
  • Safely handle a gas can

Pretty straight forward set of skills for this gig.

How’s it Work?

I haven’t worked this gig myself but I did some digging. It seems to work like a combination of Uber and Amazon Flex.

You download the app, go online, and then you’ll be sent nearby gigs. You accept them and then drive to the location.

What’s Needed?

Conclusion

Allstate’s Roadside Rescuer gig may be a nice option for those who have the skills. Since there’s a barrier of entry there won’t be so much competition. It’s not going to pay the bills but may be a nice way to earn some extra cash and help people along the way.

We’re not affiliated with Allstate and we don’t get anything if you sign up. If you’ve worked this gig and would like to share please do so in the comments.

Appreciate it!
