Ever since the Amazon Flex app updated on iPhones Flex drivers have been speculating that a similar update will soon be coming to Android devices. On iOS the Amazon Flex app looks and functions a lot different. It appears that Amazon has put a lot of work into the new user interface for iOS so we should expect it to come to Android eventually. Here’s what to expect.
The Offers Screen
There’s a new layout for the Offers screen. Nothing major, just a new look for blocks.

Accepting Blocks
Instead of a swipe it appears that Amazon is going back to a “click to accept” functionality with a “Schedule” button.

Upon clicking Schedule the app will go back to the Offers screen with a notification at the top.

Refreshing
Perhaps the most annoying part about the new UI is the way that the app refreshes. With every tap on Refresh a circular progress bar pops up in the middle of the screen. This acts as the Refresh cooldown, limiting the number of times you can refresh each second.
Forfeiting Blocks
Forfeiting will be familiar except now there’s a “Swipe to Forfeit” function.

Summary
It’s very likely that the changes made to the iOS version of the Amazon Flex app will be coming to Android. I don’t expect the two to work exactly the same but they will probably be very similar.
At least one driver has reported that their Flex app on Android has updated to be more like the iOS version.
Now you’ll know what to expect when the update rolls out globally.
Appreciate it!
