As an appreciation to their delivery persons Amazon is giving out a holiday bonus to drivers who receive a “thank you”. The first 1 million customers who say “Alexa, Thank My Driver” will have their delivery driver receive an extra $5. Drivers will also see a complementary badge in the Amazon Flex app.
What’s the Catch?
Drivers will be eligible for the $5 thank you bonus once per delivery. We are assuming this is means one(1) per stop. So if you had 45 stops in a block and 20 customers tell Alexa “Thank my driver”, that’s an extra $100 for you! However this remains to be seen and we’re not sure if it’s once per stop or per block. Drivers will see the extra $5’s in their earnings labeled as “Alexa Thank My Driver”.
Spread the Word
Let’s make sure drivers receive that much needed and deserved extra $5. Spread the info on social media and let everyone know to tell Alexa “Thank my driver”. Even if they don’t have an Echo device they can use the Alexa app to thank their drivers.

We’re critical of Amazon on this blog sometimes but today we’d like to return the favor and say THANK YOU to them for having such a great promotion this holiday season. Often times drivers feel under appreciated and we’re happy to see them taking steps to make the Amazon Flex driver relationship better. Kudos to you Amazon.

As of today this promotion is officially over. It latest a whopping 1 day before a million “thank you”s were received.
Some drivers reported having success and received the extra $5. For most of us, the promotion was gone in a flash and we never had a chance. Better luck next time! Congrats to those that received the extra gas money.
