Flex Utility – Next Steps

Thanks to user feedback and crash reports we’ve been able to narrow down the critical issues effecting Flex Utility. Now in Beta version 6 we’ve managed to fix the crashes in the latest Android 8. Older versions of Android are still giving us problems. We appreciate all the feedback and support.

Upcoming new features:

Once we completely take care of bugs and crashes within the app we’re planning to add lots of new features. First we want to optimize the app so that it works as expected on all versions of Android and devices.

Block Alerts:

The first new feature we’ll be adding is Block Alert. With this feature users will have the option to receive a notification when blocks appear within Amazon Flex. We know that users don’t always want to be staring at the screen while refreshing. It’s boring, tedious, and waste valuable time. With Block Alert users can refresh while doing other things. When blocks appear, they’ll receive a notification letting them know it’s time to pay attention to the app and catch a block.

One click copy and paste addresses to Google Maps / Waze:

We all know that the Amazon Flex app navigation is pretty bad. Often taking drivers out of the way or to the wrong address. We plan to remedy this with one click copy and paste to the users preferred navigation app. With a simple click your next address will be copied into say, Google maps or Waze and off you go. This will save valuable time and increase efficiency.

Movable Buttons:

Move the accessibility buttons around on the screen wherever you like.

Mission:

Our mission with Flex Utility is to improve upon the Amazon Flex user interface so that all users have a fair chance to catch a block. Please remember that Flex Utility is a third party application. We cannot guarantee that Amazon will approve of it’s use. If any user reports receiving an email from Amazon by using our app we will inform all users. We do not want anyone to get penalized for using our app. We never plan to add any sort of automation to Flex Utility and we’ll always maintain full transparency.
