I’ve been a gig worker for awhile. The thought of getting a “real job” fills me with dread. I’m addicted to the freedom that gig work gives me. Gig workers usually share with each other the best gigs that are out there. I’ve heard about lots of gigs but here’s one that I’ve never seen mentioned.
I discovered this company while shopping for used cars on eBay (I know right.. risky). We Go Look apparently makes it a little less of a risk by hiring gig workers to go and inspect vehicles. The “Lookers” make sure that the actual vehicle matches the online description. Lookers don’t have to be mechanics. They just compare the vehicle to the online pictures and make sure that there’s no dishonesty going on.
Or at least that’s how I think it works. I haven’t actually done a “Looker” gig. I did sign up but they’re not accepting new Lookers in my area at the moment but they may be in yours!
It sounds like an interesting and easy gig. Just going around and looking at cars. Apparently you work through their app similar to Amazon Flex.
I’m not associated with We Go Look in anyway and I don’t receive anything if you sign up. I just thought it was an interesting gig to share.
I don’t think this gig pays a whole lot based on Glassdoor reviews. It’s just a set rate per “Look”, which may or may not be worth it based on how far away you are.
If you’ve ever worked as a Looker let us know what it’s like.
Appreciate it!
